Okay, I see it this way... Edward wants Bella to stay human and even if it would kill him , he would want her to be happy and grow old with Jake. Pretty much the vision that Bella had during the kiss. Bella loves Jake but it is not the all consuming passionate love she shares with Edward. I was not angry with either Edward or Jacob. I was beyond angry with Bella. How she could do this to both of these wonderful men. They both love her with all they have and even though she doesn't think she is playing games with them she is. Think back to Paris falls. I would have loved for Edward to yell at her, but he sees it as what is best for her so he puts his own feelings aside because he loves her.
